The old Way is a film studio that specializes in producing films using traditional, non-digital methods. These methods include hand-cranking cameras, shooting on celluloid film stock, and using physical special effects.
The studio head was a particular fan of Akira Kurosawa films and wanted his studio's mark exhibit a similar vibe. Not a traditional mark by any means, the illustration was made to be eventually animated in the future for the studio's title card.
